Waterspirit Invites Community to Two Important Green Amendment Events

Waterspirit is pleased to announce two upcoming events designed to engage the community and foster support for the Green Amendment Movement. Both events are free of charge, but registration is required.

Event 1: Green Amendment Film Screening and Book Talk

- Date: September 13, 2024

- Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

- Location: In person, Monroe Township Library, Middlesex County

Join us for an enlightening afternoon featuring a film screening and book talk centered around the Green Amendment Movement. Learn about the importance of environmental rights and engage directly with Maya K. van Rossum, the founder of the Green Amendment Movement and the Delaware Riverkeeper. Attendees will also have the chance to connect with community members committed to environmental justice.

Event 2: Why Faiths Need a NJ Green Amendment Webinar

- Date: September 17, 2024

- Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

- Virtual Event: Zoom Registration Required

This webinar will explore the crucial role of faith communities in supporting the New Jersey Green Amendment SCR43/ACR119. Participants will discover how faith-based values intersect with environmental stewardship and learn actionable steps for advocating for the Green Amendment. This event aims to mobilize faith communities to contribute to this important cause.
