Help Protect Sacred Water & Demand Accountability

In New Jersey we face an urgent need to defend sacred water, our local environment, and a livable future for every watershed resident. Across the region, drought looms while polluters continue to wreak havoc on our communities, leaving behind toxic messes that harm our health and our planet. It is our responsibility to take collective action now and demand the protection of sacred water for future generations.

New York made a monumental step by passing the Green Amendment and, last week, the Climate Superfund Act, ensuring that polluters are held accountable and their messes are cleaned up. Now, New Jersey must follow suit. NJ residents must also coordinate to pass the NJ Green Amendment, the NJ Climate Superfund Act, and the Fossil Fuel Divestment Act to ensure that our sacred waters are protected, and polluters are made to pay for the destruction they cause.

When we come together and speak out loudly-across communities and media-change is possible. Our collective voice has the power to make a real difference. Now is the time to make sure our leaders know that we will not simply allow our future to be polluted and jeopardized.

We need you to help lead the way. Contact your representatives through Waterspirit’s Calls to Action page and demand they take action by passing these critical pieces of legislation. Get trained as a Waterspirit advocacy volunteer on your own time using helpful video tutorials.

Together, we can create a future where polluters pay and the people of New Jersey thrive! Join us for upcoming events that focus on water advocacy education and collective climate action.
