Water Justice Watercolor Competition

Waterspirit is hosting a watercolor competition as part of the CREATE Core Courage art for social justice event.

We invite artists of all ages to use watercolors to express the importance of clean, safe water. Paintings might, for example, highlight issues of concern—places where water has not been respected and cared for—in order to raise awareness. Paintings might instead highlight the artist’s connection with water, like favorite places remembered or the brighter future we are working toward. Perhaps the painting moves beyond narratives of utopia and dystopia entirely. Let your creativity flow!

Winners will have their artwork featured at the CREATE Core Courage show in October.

To enter, submit a digital representation (high-resolution photograph) via the submission link on our CREATE Core Courage page. Pieces must be available for display at the CREATE Core Courage event in late October. Submissions are due by September 1, 2019.

If watercolor is not your preferred medium of expression, please take a look at the other calls for artwork on the CREATE Core Courage homepage.
